Technical Pressings

The AIDA Line and Progression Presses are ideal for cost effective manufacture of high volume complex components.

Both machine types perform sequential press operations in one automated cycle which ensures production of high quality, complex components quickly and at very competitive prices.

Our Technical Pressing Experts

The AIDA Line and Progression Presses have been in production at Jenks and Cattell Engineering for many years. The dedicated highly skilled operators have an in-depth knowledge and intimate understanding of the machines and their capabilities. Millions of components have been efficiently manufactured on these machines in accordance with lean production methods and delivered JIT.

Our Technical Pressing Service Stands for Quality, Speed and Value

Superior Quality

The AIDA Line and Progression Presses’ precision and product quality are excellent; we have an impressive record of producing 15.4 million components whilst operating below the target 25 PPM on the AIDA Line.

Benefits of our AIDA Line
and Progression Presses:

  • One machine produces complex components
  • Excellent product quality
  • Cost effective production for high volume runs
  • Reduces production time
  • Successfully produced millions of components
  • Highly skilled operators

Fast Production

Speed of production is fast as the AIDA Line and Progression Presses automatically perform each operation consecutively along the one machine, with mere seconds between each operation.

Our Progression Presses can produce up to 5,000 components an hour.

Lower Production Costs

High volume production costs are far lower on the AIDA Line and Progression Presses, mainly due to a significant labour saving cost of up to 92%.

We either use existing tools or manufacture new tools utilising our 5-year relationship with tooling suppliers in China. We have a successful track record sourcing over 500 tools from China with a saving of 40-50% compared to UK purchase.

Our product development team work closely with customers to drive costs down; components are designed to be manufactured with minimal material waste.
