Apprentice Adam Completes Macro Weld Test Training

One of our apprentices, Adam Jackson who is currently studying Mechanical Engineering with Wolverhampton college has recently completed an internal training coruse on ‘The Preparation and Interpretation and Recording of Macro Weld Testing.’ The training was provided by our Welding Quality Engineer Sarah who Adam has spent two months shadowing and learning from.

The training was mainly carried out in our own ‘In-House Macro Weld Test Facility’, which has been in situ since 2010.

Sarah, who completed a similar course at BOC some years ago said: “This is an important achievement for Adam to grow within the company as an apprentice, but it is also important for Jenks & Cattell Engineering as a company as we now have another fully trained assesor for all of our welding processes to be tested.”

From everyone at Jenks & Cattell Engineering, we would like to offer Adam our congratulations and cement our commitment in our apprentices, training and continuous improvement philosophy in all departments, and especially in quality.

Sarah and Tracy, Quality Assurance Manager are pictured here presenting Adam with his certificate.

If anyone is interested in more information on what our In-House Macro Weld Test Facility can provide, please do get in touch.
