‘In House’ Resistance Weld Training and Awareness Session

Jenks & Cattell ‘In House’ Resistance Weld Training and Awareness Session

We recently held a mornings training and awareness session, which went down well with some of our welding team.

Seen here, our team during the presentation which covered quality, manufacturing, error proofing and team leader activities.

This important part of our sheet metal manufacturing service, detailed the reasons for stringent testing, material traceability and personnel protective equipment we need to use, during our high class assembly process.

The session lasted over two hours, and at the end was opened up, to discuss any individual’s comments and suggestions that could further improvement and assist, in the smooth running of this department.

Craig Jeavons, our Technical Director said “This was one of the most widely participated training sessions that I have been involved in, and was very pleased with the amount of feedback received from the guys”

Tracy Richards, our Quality Assurance Manager who joined the session as an observer said “ The team were all connected from the start and were making comments and contributing throughout”

All our ‘team’ members shall receive an internal certificate for their attendance, and we have decided to deliver this to other members of our associated welding staff.

This training will enhance our welding capcity which currently includes: spot welding, projection welding, C02 welding, CD welding and robotic welding.
