TS16949 Laser Cutting
Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd are one of very few sheet metal laser cutting companies in the UK to obtain a TS16949 automotive accreditation for our industry, giving automotive customers the opportunity for low cost, low volume manufacturing at an internationally recognised industry standard.
Having TS16949 within our laser fabrication department allows all our customers, of all industries to take advantage of our focus on high quality, continual improvement, defence prevention and a reduction of waste within our supply chain.
All our customer’s projects will follow our stringent process for their laser cut and fabricated metal components, including PPAP, FMEA, ISIR report and security that products are manufactured within tolerance to CAD, and measured internally on our CMM machine.
Customers can take advantage of our laser machine to cut and fabricate automotive metal components to industry standard, and the attractiveness of the laser is that there is no tooling requirement and therefore our customers can save money and time on manufacturing low-medium volume metal parts.
The laser facility gives us the opportunity to support our customers from a prototype stage, right through to production moving from laser cut, to a tool stamping / presswork manufacturing method.
Jenks & Cattell’s laser facilities are impressive, with two Trumpf laser cutting machines, one of which has an automated material lifter and can work unoperated. To compliment laser cutting, we have two brake press beds and a large number of presses to enable a complete fabricated, folded or formed metal component, and we offer our customers extra services including welding, nut insertion and surface finishing.
