Jenks & Cattell Engineering have teamed up with the City of Wolverhampton College to welcome our two new apprentice intakes for 2018, this is our 6th consecutive year of taking on apprentices with the College.
James made an impression on Jenks & Cattell at the interview stage with his enthusiasm for Engineering and helping his Grandad build steam engines. We have welcomed him on board our Engineering team where he will benefit from office, shop floor and college experiences.
Inspired by his Grandad, James said: "Jenks & Cattell's Apprenticeship Scheme allowed for my first step in my future career in Engineering."
Lee has joined our apprenticeship scheme in our Welding department, who will work 3 days a week at Jenks & Cattell, whilst studying for 2 days at the Paget Road campus. In Lee's spare time, he enjoys sports including badminton, football and table tennis. Speaking of his apprenticeship, Lee said "apprenticeships were the best option as I enjoy working whilst learning and being practical."
Both guys will be on our Apprenticeship Scheme for 2 years, with job security and further training offered at the end of the course. We wish them both every success.
