A big well done to Lee in ‘qualifying’ his abilities!

A big well done to Lee in ‘qualifying’ his abilities!

It gives us great pleasure in congratulating Lee, who has successfully completed his robotic welding course at ‘Autotech’, our primary welding equipment supplier.

The course covered all aspects of programming our extensive range of ‘FANUC’ robots, including torch angle, wire speed and feed and maintenance, to name a few.

Originally mentored ‘in house’ by Dave Marriot our Weld Cell Team Leader, it was suggested we enrol him onto this training course to further his knowledge, and attain the required competency in the rudimentaries of robot welding, and much more!

Dave said, ‘Lee is a great pupil, always keen to learn and always asks the right questions. His enthusiasm is a credit to him’.

Craig Jeavons our Technical Director, also recognised that Lee was ready to take his manual welder tests, to which he also passed the two fillet welds which are mostly carried out at JCEL. These tests are approved to SAFed, CEOC and BS9606-1 recognised standards, and were independently assessed by Southdown Materials Testing Services.

Lee, humble as ever said ‘Thanks to the company for recognising my potential and supporting me in progressing within it’.

Craig closed by saying, ‘We are all looking forward to Lee using his skills to further support our ‘customer approved’ weld cell activities’.

Pictured here with Lee are Dave and Craig, who presented him with his well-deserved certificates. We at JCEL are committed to developing our people and their skills, and shall continue to invest in the services we provide.
