Jenks and Cattell Engineering Ltd like to champion young West Midlands apprentices and offer future and prosperous careers in the many areas of engineering operated throughout our factory.

Established in 1886 and home to 100 employees, we are one of the experienced manufacturers specialising in presswork, laser fabrication and welded assemblies to produce metal parts in the UK.

Our engineering and manufacturing capabilities are very varied, as we work with all types of metal to produce parts of all sizes for a vast amount of industries including automotive, EV, alternate energy, engines, electrical, medical, off-highway and construction.

Current Vacancies

We have three vacancies for our September 2023 intake, alongside City of Wolverhampton College.

The successful applicants will be enrolled on to either the Engineering Technician with Mechatronics level 3 or Maintenance and Operations level 3, depending on your strengths and career pathway requirements.

Ideally, you will work in each department of our business before deciding on your strongest skill and often favourite role within the company before being placed in that role within 12-18 months.

Each apprentice will be assigned with a dedicated apprenticeship mentor and will be offered a weekly wage over £185 per week depending on age, plus company bonus of up to £1,200 a year.

At the end of your apprenticeship, there are opportunities for further education and promotion within the workplace.
