Stock Control Leader 

Jenks & Cattell Engineering are recruiting for a Stock Control Leader, required to take on a hands-on role on the shop floor. Your daily requirements will be to book raw material in and out. 

The candidate should have experience in:

  • Reach truck and counterbalance license. 
  • Tool store management.
  • Inventory management. 
  • Implementing visual stock management system. 
  • Proficient at using inventory management systems. 
  • Audting.
  • Attention to detail.

Currently there will not be a team below this role as it is a job creation.

 35 hours per week.

 25 days holiday + bank holiday.

Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm Friday 8.30am-1.30pm

Power Press Setter/Operator  

We are recruiting for a press setter/operator to work in our busy press shop, on a range of presses from single op to transfer and progression up to 1,000 tonnes. 

Essential requirement: 

  • ROSPA License. 
  • Fork Lift Truck License. 

Shift pattern: 7.30am-4pm, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am. Shift premium pay available. 

Holiday: 25 days + bank holiday.

Purchasing Assistant / Graduate 

We have exciting program ideal for a graduate, gap-year student, or someone with a keen interest in purchasing/buying, efficiency and manufacturing.

It is initially a 12 month contract to support our Production, Dispatch and Purchasing teams to implement a new system aimed to improve our current process, with the potential for a full time permanent position for an outstanding candidate. We would offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain a Chartership qualification in Purchasing, with study time provided.

You will be responsible for communicating with suppliers (raw material for example) to obtain the best price and service for the business. Your main focus will be to improve our current process from buying raw materials to dispatching finished metal components.

Preferential skills:

  • Purchasing / buyer experience or education is preferable.
  • IT Skills are essential.
  • Interest in manufacturing, manufacturing processes and efficiency is beneficial.
  • Business / efficiency minded.
  • Excellent Communication.
  • Process improvement.

Holiday: 25 days + bank holiday.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm. Friday 8.30am-1.30pm. Study time flexibility.
