Stock Control Leader 

Jenks & Cattell Engineering are recruiting for a Stock Control Leader, required to take on a hands-on role on the shop floor. Your daily requirements will be to book raw material in and out. 

The candidate should have experience in:

  • Reach truck and counterbalance license. 
  • Tool store management.
  • Inventory management. 
  • Implementing visual stock management system. 
  • Proficient at using inventory management systems. 
  • Audting.
  • Attention to detail.

Currently there will not be a team below this role as it is a job creation.

 35 hours per week.

 25 days holiday + bank holiday.

Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm Friday 8.30am-1.30pm

Power Press Setter/Operator  

We are recruiting for a press setter/operator to work in our busy press shop, on a range of presses from single op to transfer and progression up to 1,000 tonnes. 

Essential requirement: 

  • ROSPA License. 
  • Fork Lift Truck License. 

Shift pattern: 7.30am-4pm, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am. Shift premium pay available. 

Holiday: 25 days + bank holiday.

Project Engineer

This role will appeal to Project Engineers looking for a forward-thinking company who regularly invest. This is a varied role where you can add value to the Company’s growth.

To apply for this position candidates from the press tooling Industry will be viewed favourably. Those who have a HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline will also be preferred although this is not essential.

Reporting to the NPI Engineering Manager, the successful person will be performing a range of tasks to ensure that the company’s projects are delivered on time & within budget whilst not compromising on quality. Taking product designs from concept to delivery you will be responsible for delivering the designs to the manufacturing department ensuring each product meets the quality, commercial and production standards. This includes all associated Tooling, fixtures, gauges & any special purpose machinery. You will also be responsible for consolidating all the necessary documentation for the APQP pack. In due course you will be expected to travel widely both in the UK & China to successfully manage & buy-off Press Tooling.

The Role:

  • Cradle to Grave Project Engineering.
  • Inter departmental, supplier & customer Liaison.
  • Final product quality inspection.
  • Tooling management UK & abroad.

The Person required:

  • Press Tool knowledge highly desirable.
  • HNC preferable.
  • Process focussed.
