Welcoming More Staff Back Following Furlough

Welcoming More Team Back

As with many businesses across the world, in March Jenks & Cattell Engineering had to use the Government furlough scheme for most of our employees. Since June, we have gradually and safely welcomed more employees back to our engineering site on Neachells Lane.

This week we have welcomed back five more employees, taking our office and working from home staff to a positive 28 employees ready for action.

Mike O’Shea, Managing Director said: “Sales are at the lowest point of the year to date, but due to an increase in customer activity the business has decided to react and prepared for the coming works.

Our priority is the safety of our colleagues and their families, and we feel as though our Coronavirus measures adequately reduce the risk to all.

It is great to see the car park starting to fill up again!”

We will still be practising maintain a 2m distance, regular daily temperature tests, wearing appropriate PPE where socially distancing is not possible and maintaining a high level of personal hygiene with hand sanitiser gel provided in vast amounts throughout the building.

Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd have stayed open and manufactured metal pressings and laser fabrications for our customers throughout lockdown, and its positive to look to increase our manufacturing output for a number of new and restarting projects in the coming months.
